Begona started from scratch in a very different market, but she is now widely recognized in the field of journalism throughout the United States after working very hard for six years. 

UNIVISION gave her her first opportunity in Las Vegas, Nevada! Shewas the 6 pm and 11 pm News Anchor with her dear friend Gabriel Preciado. She covered the Nevada State Elections, Latin Grammy Awards (special interviews with actress Jacky Bracamontes and with the Mexican regional music La Banda El Recodo), special coverture DACA- Dreamers, México and Virgen de Gualalupe, Leopoldo López Venezuelan politician and former prisoner, special coverture the drug dealer El Chapo Guzmán, and the mass shooting in the gay club Pulse, Orlando (Emmy Award Team Coverage), among other events.

She also was assigned to do special investigations: Breast Milk Booming Business (Emmy Award Special

Report), the Funeral Business Model, the dangerous Cryotherapy beauty and health technique, and “Quiero Ser” Emmy Award Nominee (favorite careers for young Latinos now), among others.

She also had the opportunity to develop her skills on the radio Super Estrella 92.7 Las Vegas giving news briefings and doing special covertures with the ESPN radio showman Herbert Castro. Begoña also delighted the listeners of La Tricolor 105.1 radio station with the daily news.

She also had the opportunity to develop her skills on the radio Super Estrella 92.7 Las Vegas giving news briefings and doing special covertures with the ESPN radio showman Herbert Castro. Begoña also delighted the listeners of La Tricolor 105.1 radio station with the daily news.

She had the honor to serve as an executive producer for daily Newscast “El Mundo al Día” for @vozdeamerica. Her strong journalistic background provided her with a well-rounded view of the production process.

She also created her own stories as an investigative reporter. Her Special Report  Women Impact in the USA was honored with two (2) Emmy Awards. Begona also covered the Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, obtaining declarations from US Federal Agencies, Puerto Rico’s local government, and affected Puerto Ricans.

In addition, Begona was a contributor for Radio Voice of America and she worked closely with the International Journalist and Broadcaster Henry Llanos. She covered immigration matters related to Trump Administration, international conflicts such as Syria Civil War, and Latin America issues, among others.
